The effects of the new toll system
On the busiest days in January nearly 30 percent more vehicles crossed the alternative routes of the road sections that became tolled, compared to the same period of the last year – according to the datas of the Best Way Traffic Kft. that is dealing with teh evaluation of traffic data.
The traffic increase on average increased by 12 to 15 percent on theses alternative routes. The travel time is also increased proportionately.
From 1 January 2015, the new toll system was entered into force, so with a few exceptions, the entire motorway network system became tolled for passenger cars.
