This is how you should buy peaches at a good price
One of the most popular fruits of the summer, the peach, is available in a wide variety, but the prices can differ significantly depending on where you buy it – Pénzcentrum points out in a recent article.
As part of the “Pick yourself” promotions, you can pick peaches directly in the orchards, with your own hands, which is not only a budget-friendly solution, but also more sustainable. These promotions usually range between HUF 400-600 per kilogram. Below you can see the prices of some fruit orchards in Pest County:
KÁVRÁN Orchard: HUF 500/kg
ÉRDI BARACK: HUF 500/kg (over 10 kg HUF 400/kg)
SALT WELL: HUF 600/kg (depending on quality HUF 400-600/kg)
Not only are these locations more affordable, but they ensure that fresh fruit is on our table while directly supporting local growers and reducing our transportation carbon footprint.
The price of peaches in the markets is usually between HUF 500-1,000 per kilogram. This option is a good compromise for those who do not want to spend time picking fruit, but are still looking for a fresh and varied offer. Peaches bought at the market are often fresher than those available in the store, and we have the opportunity to buy directly from the growers.
