Ifo’s German business sentiment improved better than expected in July
Ifo’s German business sentiment improved better than expected in July, compared to the previous month. Analysts’ expected less. The companies surveyed rated their current business environment as worse than they expected, while their views on their future prospects improved significantly better than estimated.
The business sentiment index of the ifo Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich rose to 90.5 points in July from the 86.3 points in June, marking an improvement for the third consecutive month. Analysts expected a less improving index, 89.3 points for July. (MTI)
