Ifo: improved business sentiment in the euro area
Further improvement occurred in the business sentiment in the euro area, but significant differences occurred in the growth among the countries of the area and fears are growing, due to high inflation – shows the survey of German IFO Institute for Economic Research.
The business atmosphere indicator increased to 118.9 points from the 116.8 points of the previous quarter which increased “clearly” above the long-term average – informs ifo. The sub-index following the current situation increased to 159.4 points from 142.7 points. The sub-index indicating the expectations decreased to 95.1 points, from the 101.6 points of the previous quarter – reports MTI.
