IFFA 2025: The leading world trade fair for the meat and protein industry
The IFFA trade fair in Frankfurt is the largest professional event in the international meat and protein industry, so the current issues and development directions of the market are also discussed by leading experts in the sector.
The exhibition, which will be held from 3 to 8 May 2025, will focus on innovations, not only in terms of products, but also in the fields of labor, sustainability and technological development.
In the meat and alternative protein industry, the entire production process is accompanied by software, from hygiene regulations to cutting to size and packaging. In terms of labor, the biggest breakthrough by far is the so-called 24/7 principle, which aims to provide a solution to the problems caused by labor shortages by operating machines continuously, 24 hours a day. The principle, based on machine learning and process acceleration, is already leading to visible growth and, in addition to promising cost reductions, also promises great results in terms of sustainability.
Among all this, the importance of data is also evident. Data collection and analysis are by far the most important and are an absolute priority in all areas of industry. The momentum of the processing and packaging industry can be largely attributed to the fact that they collect data during every phase of the processes and then optimize their production processes based on this.
Artificial intelligence is an excellent tool and aid for this level of data analysis. Thanks to the constantly developing algorithms of newer and newer software, the prospects for the industries are better than ever.
The IFFA in Frankfurt in May, the leading world trade fair for the meat and protein industry, will address this topic in a special presentation entitled “Creating value from data”.
