Seasonal work attracts department store workers
In addition to the general shortage of labor in the stores, the summer seasonal job opportunities drain the trade workers because they can earn more money in tourist jobs and have more free time – Magyar Nemzet wrote.
The lack of labor in the shops is becoming critical, although it is felt that, due to summer holidays, private investments are more subdued in some areas. However, some of the better paid seasonal jobs – such as summer tourism job opportunities – attract a lot of people to trade, as the average daily payment of 15-20 thousand forints is more attractive to employees in a resort area than the average monthly 25-30 thousand forints less salary in the private sector.
