The price of Christmas trees is expected to rise by 10-20 percent this year
The price of the Christmas tree is expected to increase by 10-20 percent this year, mainly due to the increase in transport and labor costs, the Interprofessional Organization of Hungarian Ornamental Gardeners told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, the most popular variety, imported nordmann pine, may become more expensive by up to 20 percent due to exchange rate fluctuations, and its price per meter may reach 7,000-8,000 HUF. The spruce will cost 4000-5000 HUF per meter, the silver pine 5000-6000 HUF. (MTI)
