The discounted taxation of the SZÉP card will remain this year
The tax advantage of the SZÉP card has been undisputed so far, and according to the published government decree, the social contribution tax on the cafeteria element will be waived by the government not until 30 June 2020, but until 31 December. This will reduce the total tax burden on the card from 32.5 percent to 15 percent by the end of the year. So this year, employers will no longer have to pay social contribution tax (szocho) on fringe benefits transferred to the SZÉP card. (privatbankar.hu, Vég Márton)
