The Hungarian product regulation will not come into force this year?
The Hungarian product regulation of the Ministry of Rural Development may only come into force early next year – wrote the Magyar Nemzet on Friday. The reason may be, that they applied not only one definition of what kind of food can be called Hungarian.
Although the Ministry of Rural Development has announced in the beginning of the summer that the Hungarian product regulation is ready, according to the informations of the Magyar Nemzet, the draft legislation is still in the Prime Minister's office. In contrast to earlier news Hungary did not send it to the European Union for approval, so it can be also assumed that the new legislation will come into force early next year – reports fn.hu.
