This year, the meat will not be more expensive
In Hungary by the end of the year, meat prices are not expected to increase, but in the first or second quarter of 2011 an increase in prices may come – reports Népszava.
According to Népszava; in the first or second quarter of next year, the price increase of feeds, the production, processing costs increase, will appear in the consumer prices.
Despite the increasing feed prices the purchase price of live pigs has been reduced, and producers expect price increeases from the beginning of 2011 – said Menczel Lászlóné, the secretary of Livestock and Meat Product Council (VHT) – reports MTI.
