One million people received holiday checks this year
In the first six months of 2009 one million workers, and close relatives, received holiday pay check, with a total value of 33 billion HUF. This is about 30 percent more than a year earlier.
The Hungarian National Holiday Foundation (MNÜA) accounts with one million more claim until the end of the year.
The total amount of the exchanged checks was 20 billion HUF. It is expected that the until the end of the year, the amount will excess 50 billion HUF. The holiday checks beside help the the needy, it is also a support for the hospitality and related sectors. From the purchasing of the checks the Foundation could help on 63 thousand socially disadvantaged people with a 2.2 billion HUF aid – reports Világgazdaság Online.
