Going back to school will also be much more expensive this year
Families will be able to buy notebooks and other paper industry products 40-50 percent more expensive at the start of school than at the beginning of the year, and a 30 percent price increase can also be expected for non-paper office supplies.
“In the first half of this year, prices rose by 10 percent per month in the Hungarian paper industry, just as in the second half of last year. It is likely that the price increase will peak now, and the rate of price increases will be much more modest in the coming months.”
Katalin Orgován, CEO of Pátria Nyomda Zrt., told VG. Overall, the sector closed a relatively good half year, the demand for printing products did not decrease despite the price increase, according to his view, in the current inflationary environment, everyone is more accepting of price increases.
