This year, Persil once again aims to support thousands of children
The goal of the “Persil for children” program is to draw attention to the hygiene poverty affecting more and more people, and to provide assistance to thousands of affected Hungarian families with the involvement of civil organizations. During the campaign, which was launched for the first time in 2022, more than 2,500 households received product donations, and 50 disadvantaged children received scholarship support. This year, Persil will once again launch the charity campaign, during which it will provide at least 300,000 kg of clean clothes to families in need, thus helping children to have a cleaner future.
According to Persil, a carefree childhood and the chance to develop talent belong to everyone: in this spirit, it launched the “Persil for children” campaign, which aims to ensure a “cleaner future” for the most needy children and enable them to live every day to wear clean clothes. Clean clothes are not only a matter of comfort or hygiene – based on a representative research of 1,000 people commissioned by the brand last year, a significant part of Hungarian society is prejudiced against children wearing dirty clothes, which leads to further social isolation of those in need. Roughly 25 percent of Hungarians would not allow their child to play with someone whose clothes are visibly dirty and neglected. The campaign, which will be launched again in 2023, also tries to combat this social isolation.
Anyone who buys a Persil product between July 1 and August 31 can participate in the charity campaign, as the company donates HUF 10 to those in need for each product sold.
