Only Hungarian watermelons at PENNY this year
From July 7, fresh, free-range watermelons exclusively from Hungarian producers will once again be available in PENNY stores, the chain announced, further strengthening its commitment to Hungarian producers and domestic produce. The first shipments of this season, selected from Hungary, have already arrived in stores, and this time, customers can choose from the juicy, succulent fruits at the usual budget-friendly prices.
Domestic producers, reliable quality, budget-friendly prices
It is of utmost importance for PENNY to offer its customers fresh, reliable quality products from domestic producers all year round. This is no different with the eternal favorite of the summer months, watermelon, which is why the company announced: from July 7, watermelons exclusively from Hungarian farms will be available on the shelves. In this way, in addition to providing its customers with the freshest and best value for money products, the chain also supports Hungarian agriculture.
“The main goal of PENNY’s purchasing strategy is to give priority to domestic producers. We work with more than 60 domestic producers in total to ensure that reliable quality, fresh domestic fruits reach the tables of Hungarian families throughout the season. We are constantly monitoring consumer needs and draw the attention of our customers to look for domestic products with the Itthonlór szélőtás logo, which can be found in stores at the familiar budget-friendly prices”
– said Zoltán Bálint, Head of Purchasing at PENNY Hungary.
