The promotion of the Hungarian melon continues this year
This year the promotion of the Hungarian watermelon will continue on the basis of the positive experiences of last year – said Budai Gyula, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) at a press conference on Friday in Budapest.
Budai Gyula recalled that the Hungarian melon is grown on about five thousand hectares, an annual average of 150-170 thousand tons. He added that they spent on the promotion of watermelons about 20 million HUF last year, while this year they plan to spend about three times more. (MTI)
