The risk of bee deaths is also assessed this year
As a result of this year’s high number of bee deaths, the Bee Risk Monitoring Program continues with increased sample number in cooperation with the National Hungarian Beekeepers Association (OMME) and the National Food Chain Safety Agency (Nébih).
They emphasized that in the past years 50-100 plant samples were examined at national level, this year, the examination of 123 samples is planned. Professionals check that the producers have complied with the bee protection regulations when applying pesticides. If professionals detect an irregularity, they will initiate a procedure against those who violate the regulations. (MTI)
