The Great Webshop Survey – this year’s results
In 2018 WebShop Experts and ShopRenter conducted a survey with the participation of 894 online shops, which revealed that the average conversion rate of respondents is 1.37 percent, 69 percent saw their sales increase last year and the average basket value was HUF 20,355.
From the website owners 44 percent have an offline shop too. 47 percent of respondents use a rented webshop system and only 18 percent had their own one developed.
Owners would like to make progress the most in the field of marketing. Sándor Nagy, president of Ecommerce Hungary told: we are at the dawning of a new era, when retail trade can’t exist without online communication and sales. //
