The best in business tourism were awarded again this year

This year, for the 15th time, the Business Excellence 2025 awards, recognizing the excellence of business tourism, were presented to the service providers deemed the best by the professional jury and the public by Turizmus.com publisher Turizmus Kft.

The awards ceremony was held at the XI. It was held at the Hungexpo Congress Center on Wednesday evening as the closing ceremony of MICE Business Day (Business Tourism Day – Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions).

The organizers told MTI that the growing prestige of the award is demonstrated by the fact that in 2025 more than 90 applications were received in the various categories.

This year, as a novelty, outstanding business catering service providers and audiovisual service providers offering innovative technical solutions were also recognized. In addition, the best program and additional service providers related to business events were also included in the competition, so the entire spectrum of business tourism was represented in the competition.

In each category, the three – in case of close competition, even four – most outstanding were voted for by the public on the Turizmus.com platform. Thus, in addition to the professional recognition, an audience award was also presented per category.

The professional award for the best large-capacity business hotel went to Crowne Plaza Budapest, and the audience award went to Grand Hotel Esztergom. The professional award for the best small and medium-sized business hotel in Budapest went to Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube, and the audience award went to Mystery Hotel Budapest. The professional award for the best small and medium-sized business hotel in the countryside went to Novotel Szeged, and the audience award went to Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel and Conference Center.

The professional award for the best large domestic event venue with a capacity of over 500 people and the audience award went to the Museum of Fine Arts. The professional award for the best small and medium-sized event venue in Budapest went to Haris Park and Madame Tussauds Budapest, with the same score, and the audience award went to Madame Tussauds Budapest. The professional award for the best rural small and medium-sized event venue went to United Illusions, and the audience award went to Etyeki Kúria.

The professional award for the best business catering service provider went to Experience by Terra, and the audience award went to Budapest Party Service. The professional award for the business event service provider providing the most innovative technological solutions went to Visual Europe Group and Smarteq AVS Kft. (with the same score), and the audience award went to Visual Europe Group.

The professional award for the most outstanding program and additional service provider related to business events in 2025 went to Museum!Events, and the audience award went to Day Holiday Kft. The best new market player professional award went to Paprika Revue House, and the audience award went to Malom és Kacsa Boutique Hotel.

The editorial staff of Turizmus.com also established a new award this year, the aim of which is to recognize an outstanding service provider or person who has contributed significantly to the promotion, innovation and development of Hungary as a travel destination during the evaluation period. The Tourism Ambassador of the Year award was awarded for the first time to Ildikó Lippai, the strategic head of MICE at the Budapest Convention Bureau. This year, special awards from several professional organizations were also presented as part of the Business Excellence awards ceremony, the organizers told MTI.
