According to a press conference of the Hungarian Agricultural Administrative Office, the authority made 6,000 penalty captions from January-October 2008.

 The authority controls thousands of
food entrepreneurs and 80,000 products. The office made survey on
100,000 examples almost 1 million research. Until December the number
of on-site inspection will arrive the 75,000. 44% of the inspection
were in the retail, 31% of them in the catering trade, but also the
feed plants, feed trader and other food processors are regulary
controled by the authority.

This year the Hungarian Agricultural
Administrative Office imposed fine in value of HUF 778 million.
