In April this year, ten times as many foreign tourists traveled to Spain as in the same month last year, the Spanish statistical office (INE) said on Wednesday.

According to the monthly report, 6.1 million people visited the southern European country in the fourth month of the year, which is a significant increase from the results of the past two years this month.

Nevertheless, the number of visitors is still below pre-pandemic levels, with 7.1 million tourists chose Spain as destination. (Fehér Krisztina, MTI)
