This year, up to 12,000 stores could close in the United States
According to Business Insider1s analysis, more than 9,300 stores were closed in the United States in 2019, while 8,000 stores in 2017 – origo wrote.
The Cushman & Wakefield real estate estimates that more closures are expected this year – analysts said this year 12,000 stores might close in the States.
The Papyrus chain went bankrupt early this year, with 254 stores closing in the United States and Canada. (origo)
