Retail trade is likely to perform the best this year
K&H’s latest SME confidence index reveals that the sales revenue of SMEs is about to grow by 8.3 percent in 2020, while their profit is expected to increase by 5.2 percent. Roland Kökény, the head of SME segment marketing at K&H added that the original forecasts were reduced from 9.4 percent and 6.2 percent, respectively, in comparison with the previous quarter, but these values are still among the highest in recent years.
In this quarter it isn’t micro-business but medium-sized enterprises that calculate with a stronger year: their sales revenue expectations jumped from 7.3 percent to 11.2 percent. Profit-wise it is also them that are the most optimistic, actually their profit expectations doubled to 7.5 percent. //
