Fish production in Hungary may increase two to three percent this year
Fish production in Hungary may increase two to three percent this year, which was 23,000 tonnes last year – Lévai Ferenc, president and CEO of the Aranyponty Zrt. (Golden Carp Co.) told MTI on Wednesday in Budapest, at a professional background discussion.
The CEO added that favorable weather is needed to increase fish production and the feed rates do not to be significantly increased.
He informed also that in the last EU budget period – between 2007-2013 – the available 13 billion HUF of the Fisheries Operational Programme (HOP) was fully used to the renewal of the Hungarian fish sector. (MTI)
