Wizz Air is temporarily canceling some of its flights in the fall
Due to a mandatory engine check Wizz Air will temporarily cancel some of its flights in the fall – the company told MTI on Tuesday, noting that negotiations are ongoing, so it is not yet known which flights will be cancelled.
It was written that the airline’s partner, Pratt & Whitney, is inspecting certain GTF engines in an accelerated procedure, and the inspection also affects some Wizz Air aircraft. Due to the mandatory inspection, Wizz Air was forced to make changes to its schedule, so it is forced to cancel some of its flights in the September-October period. It was announced: for the passengers of the affected flights, the airline offers the option of rebooking on alternative flights, or they can choose to have 120 percent of the ticket price credited to their WIZZ account, or a full refund of the ticket purchase price using the original payment method. If passengers have booked their tickets through an online intermediary company or travel agency, the airline advises them to contact the agency or website in order to make changes. The airline also recommends checking your spam folders for emails about possible schedule changes.
