Consumers' expectations are on top

After the turning point of May, for the third consecutive months, the seasonally adjusted volume of the GKI consumer confidence index is increasing.

Although the improvement of July is minimal, the index reached its highest value. On the basis of the EU-supported survey conducted, the public opinion on short-term savings capability of the population have changed. The opinion on the country's expected economic situation, unemployment and the general public opinion of its financial position became also more positive, but within the extent of statistical errors. The fear of unemployment also decreased, while inflation expectations have increased.
