Tourism record in Germany
According to the datas of the statistical office (Destatis), the German tourism industry closed the past four years with record consecutively.
According to the estimate of Destatis, released on Monday, the number of guest nights in 2013 was 412 million, which is a 1 percent increase, compared with the 407.4 million euros of a year earlier.
Approximately 80 percent of the hotels’ turnover come from domestic tourism, however, the largest increase is in inbound tourism. According to the final figures of the January-November period, the domestic tourists and business travelers spent 320.6 million nights in the German accommodations, which is a 1 percent increase.
