IDC: smartphone shipments may fall this year
Global smartphone shipments could drop 3.5 percent to 1.31 billion this year, according to the U.S. International Data Corporation (IDC) IT and telecommunications market research firm.

IDC previously expected 1.6 percent growth this year, but after shrinking shipments for three consecutive quarters amid “serious supply and demand problems,” the company has deteriorated its expectations. (MTI)
