For the first time in ten years, IATA has seen a decline in air freight worldwide
“For the first time in ten years, the volume of air cargo worldwide will decline this year, with significant yield reductions, but the industry is flexible enough to survive this period,” – Sergiu Sarasan, IATA Regional Director, International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Wednesday in Budapest.
At the Aviation World Air Freight Conference, the director said that performance in tonne-kilometers for the first seven months decreased by 3.5 percent, compared to the previous year, mainly due to the US-China trade war. (MTI)
