Refrigerated yet fresh…!!!
In recent years, one of the most notable consumer trends has been the growing demand for fresh products. At the same time, sales of refrigerated products have also grown dynamically. Isn’t there a contradiction? This was one of the questions we asked Stephan Skopp and István Horváth, managing directors of Nagel Hungária Kft. Stephan Skopp: There is no contradiction at all. Nagel Hungária provides logistical and packaging services in three different temperature ranges, ensuring delivery periods equal to that of products which do not require refrigeration. Dairy products, meat and chocolate are typical examples of products which require constant refrigeration. For these, we have to guarantee that temperature limits are observed. TM: What distances can you handle with your technology? Stephan Skopp: Inside Hungary, we can make deliveries anywhere, within 24 hours. In practice, our delivery times are usually shorter than 24 hours. Owing to the international presence of the Nagel group, we can offer similar delivery conditions inside Europe. TM: What is required to provide low temperature logistic services? Horváth István: A very good quality fleet of vehicles, substantial IT capacity, excellent staff and strict monitoring of standards are required. Our internal audits are stricter than official standards.
