IKEA withdraws refrigerators and freezer cabinets due to danger of electric shock – IKEA Deutschland reported on Friday,.

The measure affects the Frostfri branded devices made between the 45th calendar week of 2015 and the 7th calendar week of 2016. The devices must be powered down immediately, the repairs will be carried out on the spot. IKEA will indemnify all those who affected.

The company did not yet received any notification about accidents. The units in question were sold in Germany, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Spain, France and Italy. (MTI)
