Food prices on their twenty-seven month peak
According to the calculations of FAO, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization; Food prices increased to their twenty-seven month peak in October, particular, due to the rise in the prices of grain and sugar.
The FAO food price index was 197.13 points in October, which is the highest since July 2008. The FAO food price index of October exceeded the September datas by 4.4 percent. The FAO analysts say; the grain-index increased to its 25-month peak, while the sugar price index, increased to its highest level since 1990 –reports hirszerzo.hu.
