Twenty hectoliters of Capuccino in honor of Julius Meinl
Bartenders in the capital of Croatia – Zagreb – made the largest cup of cappuccino in the world: 2 012 litres. This achievement became the first record in this category in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Preparation of such a massive cup required 22 coffee machines that were stationed in the city’s central quarter, The Daily Telegraph reports.
The largest cup of cappuccino is a new category in the Guinness Book of World Records. Every new category also sets minimal requirements – in this case it was a minimum of 1 500 litres.
The event was sponsored by the Austrian Julius Meinl Group Company. The record was set in honour of the company’s anniversary – 150 years.
Preparations for the record took three months, with bartenders from all over Croatia coming to Zagreb, local edition Zagrabancija reports – writes British newspaper The Daily Telegraph. (MTI)
