Danone increased its revenues by twenty percent in the first quarter of the year
French Danone, the world's largest yogurt producer reported about better-than-expected first-quarter results on Thursday.
The manufacturer of Activia, Actimel and a wide range of other products reached a turnover of 4.76 billion euros in the first three months of 2011, which is 20 percent more than a year ago and is above analysts' expectations of 4.66 billion euros. The 20 percent increase is mainly the consequence of the results of the fresh dairy business, and the buying of Russian dairy company the Unimilk – reports Profitline.hu, after MTI.
