Frost damage is around twenty percent in the Tokaj Wine Region
On average, 20 percent of buds has damaged, due to this year’s hard frost in the Tokaj Wine Region – states the researchers of the Vine and Wine Research Institute of Tokaj – Észak-Magyarország writes on Tuesday.
In some vineyards no frost damage is experienced, at some places frost damage has reached a thirty percent. The great cold of February however not likely to affect the yield.
The article mentions: the researchers believe that the Tokaj Wine Region was not affected with a high level of frost damage that would justify a change in the intercept method. (MTI)
