Nestlé’s Diósgyőr-based plant manufactures Easter chocolate figurines for twenty countries
About 1,300 tons of Easter chocolate figurines were produced for this year's Easter season at Nestlé’s Diósgyőr-based plant. 80 percent of this quantity – more than two billion HUF worth products – were produced especially for export. The plant produces to three continents and 20 countries.
The Diósgyőr plant is Nestlé’s only manufacturing unit that was specialized for the production of chocolate figurines. The plant produces mostly cored chocolate for the Easter holiday season, but also produces for Halloween and also manufactures off-season figures such as chocolate mobile phones or penguins. Last year, the plant produced a total of 73.5 million figures from the smallest 9 grams figurines to the largest 245 grams chocolate packs.
