Coffee production may be the lowest of the past 20 years in India
The South American Coffee Makers Association predicts that next year’s coffee production may be the lowest since 1997-1998, and will be a quarter less than the expected 316,000 tonnes for this year.
According to experts, the drop in Indian coffee production may have a price-driving effect on the world market. The price of arabica coffee dropped to 12 lows on Wednesday, its price dropped by nearly 19 percent since the beginning of the year. (tozsdeforum.hu, MTI)
