The Association of Confectionery Manufacturers are optimistic before Easter
This year the consumption decline is expected to be halt in the Easter confectionary markets and according to the general trend, there will be a 3-4 percent growth in this segment – said Sánta Sándor, president of the Association of Confectionery Manufacturers on Thursday in Budapest.
He told: last year the Easter confectionary market’s turnover reached 2.7 billion HUF, similar to the previous year, but sales volume decreased by 10 percent to 810 tonnes. This shows, that consumption has shifted towards high-quality goods: consumers are looking for real chocolate products. Nowadays eighty-five percent of the traffic is quality chocolate goods – reports vallalkozoinegyed.hu.
