Cattle for slaughter past the bottom
Agricultural Business Research Institute (AKI) constantly monitors trends in the world market of poultry and meat. Data from the Market Price Information system of KSH and AKI can be useful for making even short term decisions. According to their latest report, producers of cattle for slaughter and poultry are in an even more difficult situation than before. Though the livestock of cattle in Hungary has been shrinking for years, this trend is expected to come to an end this year as a result of growth recorded in the first half of the year.Hungarian exports of cattle had been growing for years , but this trend has also ended in 2007. Egg prices have been subject to changes in demand in the EU markets in recent years. The bird flu scare has not had a noticeable effect.
