Rotten Meat scandal in Germany
The rotten meat would be sold for Turkish doner kebab restaurants.
Authorities had confiscated more than 11 tons of beef and
turkey meat at a company based in the southern town of Wertingen which were
scheduled to be sold to a doner producers, prosecutors announced. Most of the
rotten meat which was supposed to be used for animal fodder, has already been
consumed. Last month, the same company sold almost 20 tons of spoiled meat to
Turkish doner kebab restaurants, located throughout Germany.
