The Gyulai sausage became a Hungarikum
As the result of the Hungarikum Commission's decision, the collection of Hungarikums is expanded by five new members; in addition five new element has been introduced into the Hungarian Depository – Fazekas Sándor Minister for Rural Development said after the committee meeting on Thursday in Ópusztaszer.
Fazekas Sándor said that the new Hungarikums are the ouvre of Puskás Ferenc, the horse archer method of Kassai Lajos, the Gyulai sausage, the soda water and the Hungarian operette.
The Gyulai sausage has been added to the list of Hungarikums, because it is a food with traditional flavours, and the way it is prepared is also a Hungarikum. (MTI)
