Hungarian farmers are actively shaping the Common Agricultural Policy
Hungarian farmers were very active in the consultation process of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP): Hungary sent the sixth most opinions for the draft reform of the CAP. It is noteworthy that almost two thirds of respondents want the current system of direct subsidies to stay. If only farmers’ input is considered, 4.6 percent of the opinions were sent from Hungary to reform the CAP system. The new CAP regulations are expected to be published by 2019-2020. //
