Foreign trade is in a peak period
KSH reports that Hungary’s foreign trade significantly intensified in terms of volume in January 2011: export was up 21 percent and import grew by 23 percent from last year. However, our foreign trade surplus was HUF 110 billion, HUF 12 billion less than in January 2010. Hungary’s export in the first month of the year was valuing at HUF 1,675 billion and import amounted to HUF 1,565 billion. The volume of processed product export and import was 22 percent higher than a year before. Our foreign trade’s exchange rate worsened by 1.7 percent if compared with January 2010.
