Lanchid 19 won hotel architectural award

The European Hotel Design Awards, presented by Sleeper Magazine on Thursday, 6 November 2008, is the premier celebration of outstanding innovations in the hospitality industry and hotel design in Europe.

 Amsterdam’s CitizenM hotel was
crowned as best European hotel design of the year, and picked up
three further awards, for innovation, technology and graphic design.
Design group Concrete Amsterdam created CitizenM's graphics and
interiors.

The European Hotel Design Awards
recognise the ambitious work of architects, designers, developers and
hotel owners across 18 different categories. Judged by an
international panel of leading hospitality experts and journalists,
the European Hotel Design Awards is one of the most renowned events
in the lifestyle travel industry of the world.

Lanchid 19 Hotel Budapest won in
category Best Architecture (newbuild). The Syntax Group picked up the
award for best interior design of a spa, for its work at the Six
Senses Spa at Porto Elounda resort in Crete. Priestman Goode’s work
on the ETAP Hotel in Paris won the prize for best interior design for
a standard branded guest room. UK-based consultancy Richmond
International was recognised for its designs of the lobby and public
areas of Trianon Palace and Spa in Versailles, France. French
designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, who is renovating The Savoy in London,
was awarded the prize for outstanding contribution to hotel design.
Other design consultancies celebrated at the awards include
Portuguese group Atelier Nini Andrade Silva, for its work at the
Fontana Park Hotel in Lisbon, and Swedish group Stylt Trampoli for
Villa JC Stevens in Sweden.

Best interior design of a café
bar went to 3 Meta for the Superbude hotel in Hamburg, Germany. The title of best interior design of a
suite went to the Cupola Suite at Ceres Am Meer in Germany, designed
by German group Moritz Lau-Engehausen.
