It takes a long time for cheap Chinese products to reach us
Cheap products ordered from China take a long time to arrive, which causes concern among buyers. Companies like AliExpress, Shein and Temu are struggling to improve amid market competition and delivery challenges.
In many cases, customs clearance of packages causes problems, which slows down delivery. However, according to the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) and Magyar Posta, there are no significant obstacles in customs clearance processes; NAV highlighted that almost 30 million e-commerce shipments were handled in the first quarter, and more than 10 million in April – the Index article points out.
According to NAV and Magyar Posta, thanks to the automated processes of customs clearance, most packages are forwarded quickly. The introduction of the IOSS system, which enables simplified VAT payment of imported products, further supports efficient customs clearance. Packages are opened only if necessary, and Magyar Posta assumes responsibility for their delivery.
