The 2025 holiday season is already showing spectacular trends in the first weeks of the First Minute period. Based on the bookings received so far, it is clear that Hungarian travelers are planning next summer more consciously, with a longer vacation. According to Invia.hu data, the demand for two-week vacations is showing a significant increase, while the hit destinations of the pre-booking season have also brought interesting changes – writes Pénzcentrum.

The most popular destinations: Turkey and Greece at the top

Among the favorites of Hungarian travelers during the pre-booking period, Turkey continues to confidently maintain its leading position. However, the list also held surprises. The most popular destinations of the 2025 summer so far are the following:

Turkey
Greece
Bulgaria
Egypt
Canary Islands

Bulgaria has surprisingly strengthened, as it moved from 6th place last year to third, thanks to a fourfold increase in the number of bookings. Meanwhile, Egypt’s popularity has declined slightly, but Red Sea fans remain a significant presence based on social media responses.

Longer vacations: 13-16 night trips in focus

According to booking trends, the popularity of shorter, 7-night vacations has declined in 2025. The majority of travelers are now planning 13-16 night trips, which shows a doubling of interest compared to last year. The demand for longer vacations is particularly prevalent among the 40-49 age group, but also shows significant growth among 25-29 and 75-79 year olds.

According to Béla Szokodi, Commercial and Product Manager at Invia.hu, Hungarians are thinking more and more consciously:

“The majority of passengers plan ahead and secure their next year’s holiday already during the First Minute period. The numbers also show that longer vacations are taking precedence over shorter trips.”

New and returning favorites

According to the pre-booking data, it will be difficult to break Turkey’s dominance, but the strengthening of Greece and Bulgaria indicates that Hungarian travelers are looking for destinations that offer good value for money and quality services. The spectacular advance of the Canary Islands also shows that the desire for special experiences is growing.
