Tourism in Croatia broke all records in Croatia
In the first eight months of the year, tourism in Croatia broke all records: 15 million domestic and foreign visitors spent 85 million guest nights in the country, the previous is 14, the latter is 13 percent, compared to the same period last year – Gari Capelli Croatian Tourism Minister announced at a press conference on Wednesday.
On the basis of the data of the eVisitor system, launched last year by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, in August, 4.1 million foreign guests spent 28.2 million guest nights in the country, while the number of guests and guest nights grew by 6 percent.
Most of the guest nights were spent by the Germans (16.6 million), Slovaks (8.9 million), Austrians (6.2 million), Poles (5.6 million) and Italians ( 4.7 million). (Kriják Krisztina, MTI)
