Horticulture sector to be better-organised

For a 5-year period the government has earmarked HUF 150 million for making the horticulture sector better-organised. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the proportion of production cooperatives needs to be increased to minimum 40 percent. The ministry’s objective is to raise the presently 2.5-million-ton fruit and vegetable output to 3.5 million tons.
