Albert Heijn is the Most Sustainable Supermarket in the Netherlands
Albert Heijn has been named the most sustainable supermarket chain in the Netherlands for the third time in a row. The announcement was made in Amsterdam at the Sustainable Brand Awards 2019. In 2018 the retail chain took major steps in various areas, such as the reduction of plastic packaging materials, combating food waste, and offering insight into the origin of products.
