Amazon is fighting the epidemic with thermal cameras
Amazon already uses thermal cameras in at least six warehouses to screen out feverish workers – Reuters wrote. Cameras show how much heat a person emits relative to their surroundings. Cameras measure faster and are more accurate than forehead pressurized thermometers, and you don’t have to go close to anyone to measure.
The move could be explained by the fact that many workers resigned after the coronavirus appeared in more than 50 warehouses on Amazon. Several employees have demanded from the company that once turnover and revenue have increased so much, they should receive regular protective gear, a hazard allowance, and support for those who are unable to work.
