How to avoid fines?
Voluntarily undertaking obligations – applied in several cases last year – allows companies subjected to legal action to escape fines by terminating or amending objectionable behaviour and practices. This is good for companies, as they avoid being fined and the violation of law is not officially declared, which means negative publicity is also avoided.
